Latest FANGDA RP Regular Power Graphite electrodes price is rising up

Fangda Carbon is the leading enterprise of graphite electrodes in China, and its production capacity ranks first in China. As of 2021, the company has an equity production capacity of 195,600 tons of graphite electrodes, including ultra-high power, high power, and ordinary power graphite electrodes; carbon brick production capacity of 30,000 tons; carbon new materials annual production capacity of 10,000 tons. In the later stage, with the gradual release of the equity production capacity of Hefei Carbon, Rongguang Carbon and its subsidiary Baofang Carbon, the equity production capacity of Fangda Carbon will reach 271,900 tons in 2023.

In 2021, Fangda Carbon achieved operating income of 4.652 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 31.44%; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 1.085 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 98.11%. Among them, carbon products based on graphite electrodes achieved operating income of 3.947 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 31.05%; gross profit margin was 29.48%, a year-on-year increase of 5.23 percentage points.

The increase in the price of graphite electrodes is the main reason for its performance growth. The data shows that the average price of ultra-high-power graphite electrodes in 2021 will increase by 14.67% year-on-year. According to the Everbright Securities Research Report, in 2021, the average price of Fangda carbon products will be 17,292 yuan/ton, a year-on-year increase of 20.5%, and the gross profit will be 4,639 yuan/ton, a year-on-year increase of 46.1%.
