What is the difference between graphitized electrode and regenerative electrode

(1) The choice of raw materials is different: Graphitized electrodes use high-quality petroleum coke, high-quality coal pitch and other low-ash raw materials. For example, more than 30% imported needle coke is needed to produce high-power graphite electrodes. The content of ultra-high-power graphite electrodes even reaches more than 80%. . Recycled graphite electrode only needs ordinary petroleum coke plus a certain proportion of graphitized crushing, and ordinary coal pitch is used as a binder for production.

(2) The production process is different: The production of graphitized graphite electrodes is made into graphitized semi-finished products through petroleum coke calcination, batching, kneading, molding, multiple roasting and dipping, graphitization and other processes, and finally processed by CNC machine tools. Regenerative electrodes only need to calcinate ordinary petroleum coke, batching, forming, roasting, and simple machining immediately. Compared with graphitized electrodes, the production process is simpler and the finished product cycle is shorter. Main points of graphite electrode processing 1. Prism surface electrode: 2. Function: Through the geometric shape of the prism surface, there is no circle, a simple curved surface and an acute cylindrical edge are used;

3. Tool material selection: flat-bottom milling cutter, spherical milling cutter; Disadvantages: Need to consider the processing status of several special positions;

4. Tool geometry requirements: rake angle: preferably about 6°, finishing, between 6-10°; Back angle: should be less than 15°; Entering angle: It has nothing to do with the problem of side edge wear. Therefore, the entering angle is better than 30°. If it is too large, it is not suitable for finishing.
